We’re pleased to announce that two of our Oxfam Fashion bloggers have been shortlisted for the Company Style Blogger Awards 2013 in association with New Look. Both are up for the Best Thrifty Blog category and Team Fash could not be more proud.
Laurie Rose Belle has been blogging for Oxfam Fashion since 2012. Her thrifty fashion and lifestyle blog, My Blue Rinse, showcases her striking personal style as well as reviews and experiences.
She said: “I was in utter disbelief when I found out. I enjoy posting about my mundane day to day life so to get some sort of recognition for the hard work I put in each week really felt special. I also did a little dance!
“I have been shortlisted in the best thrifty blog category and that truly resembles what Blue Rinse is all about, the cheap and the cheerful and how to shop on a shoe string.”
Cassiefairy has recently joined the Oxfam Fashion blogger network as a DIY blogger. Her ‘little lifestyle blog’ covers a variety of lifestyle topics from glorious recipes to creative DIY crafts and thrifty fashion.
“Finding out that I’d been shortlisted for an award was completely surreal,” said Cassie. “I’d been casting my own votes for the other wonderful blogs, carefully making my way through the shortlist and having a good look at them all before deciding on my favourites, when I reached the Best Thrifty Blog category. I couldn’t believe my eyes – there was Cassiefairy.com – a shortlisted blog!
“I could never put into words how much it means to me to know that readers are enjoying what I do and I’d love it if the lovely Oxfam Fashion Blog readers would have a quick look around Cassiefairy.com.”
Support our lovely bloggers and vote for them in the Company Style Blogger Awards 2013!
