Start: Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Waterlooville, PO8 0QE Finish: Brighton Race Course, Freshfield Rd, Brighton, BN2 9XZ
Trailwalker is a 3 day event where thousands of people join the Queen’s Gurkha Signals to take on the 100km across the South Downs Way. Teams raise money to help make life-changing work continue at Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust. Volunteer roles include supporting the logistics of the start area in advance of participants arriving, hosting registration tents for hundreds of teams, answering queries, stewarding checkpoints and most importantly cheering walkers in when they reach each checkpoint. This event is only made possible by the incredibly supportive work that the volunteer team does across the course over event weekend.
Pitch your tent in the South Downs National Park. There will be portable toilets at each check point for you to use.
- Hot tea & coffee
We also provide all volunteers with access to hot tea and coffee.
- Phone charging
We know that access to power on a festival site is usually tricky so we ensure access to free phone charging points in our marquee.
You will also receive a Gurkha curry on Friday evening, cooked breakfast Saturday morning and a BBQ on the Sunday evening to celebrate!
- Stewards (start area, cheerpoints, info points, finish line)
- Checkpoint Coordinator (please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info)
