2021 Lineup
Because of the very unusual planning environment that 2021 brings, this year we’re taking the novel step of staggering the launch of our volunteering applications.
We’re excited to announce that our first batch will include places at many of our old favourites, including 2000 Trees, NASS, Latitude, WOMAD, Wilderness, ArcTanGent, Beautiful Days, Reading, Leeds, Isle of Wight, and Trailwalker.
We’ll also be launching places for a series of In The Park events – an exciting new adventure for us – eight separate weekend events over the course of the summer, comprising of a Comedy In The Park day and an Artist In The Park day, with various acts booked.
These are non-camping events so you will need to be able to travel to site each day (free parking will be available) or find a local campsite or accommodation. You will do 2 shifts (one early, and one late) over the two days, giving you the rest of the time to enjoy the acts. These weekend events will count towards priority. More info can be found on the website.
Places open for this first batch on the 8th April for priority volunteers, and the 15th April for the public.
Some of our regular festivals with dates towards the end of summer are not quite ready for us to launch yet, because they’re still nailing down the details for this year. This includes Boomtown, Boardmasters, and The Long Road,
We’ll be opening places for these other shows later, so keep your eyes peeled for more information!
We’re sad to hear that our friends at both Shambala and Bearded Theory are unable to go ahead in 2021. For statements from both please visit their respective websites. We look forward to being back with them in 2022.

What is Priority status and how do I get it?
For anyone who is new to volunteering this year, you might have heard a lot of chatter about ‘Priority’. Priority status gives you the opportunity to sign-up to volunteer before we open to the public, increasing your chance of securing a place at our biggest and most popular festivals!
If you don’t currently have priority status, you can gain it for 2022 by volunteering at 2 or more festivals in 2021 (at least one of those volunteer roles has to be stewarding). As well as our usual festivals, volunteering at any of our In The Park gigs will count towards it too.
Experienced and long-term returning stewards also qualify for priority status, if one of the following applies:
- You have held a supervisor role at festivals for us for the previous 2 years.
- You have volunteered at 7 or more festivals in the previous 7 years*.
Also, this year only, because we know that not everyone is ready to head back to festivals yet, we will be rolling the entire 2021 priority list on to 2022. This means that if you had priority status for the 2021 launch, you will definitely still have it for 2022!

Will there still be priority for the festivals that are being announced later?
Stay safe, hope to see you all soon.
Hi Andy, yes there will be a chance for priority volunteers to apply to the unannounced festivals before the public. Good luck. – Oxfam Festivals Team
Hi there,
I hope you’re all well and excited about some festivals happening this summer!
I just wanted to check that I should have priority status,
I’ve worked 7 festivals in the last 7 years for Oxfam with every year doing 2 or festivals per year.
Should I have received an email confirming that I have priority.
Thanks and thanks for all your hard work to get us back in the fields this summer
Hi Sarah, the easiest way for us to check is for you to email the office at festivals@oxfam.org.uk. We’ll hope to get back to you asap. Best of luck and look forward to seeing you in the field this summer. Oxfam Festivals Team
Please consider me

Hi
I realised just now that today is the day and booked reading & Isle of Wight without seeing boomtown is in the next release. Am I able to swap please (sorry to be a pain) thanks.
Hi Dave, if you email us at festivals@oxfam.org.uk with Cancel in the subject, then if you booked within the last 7 days you can cancel with no admin fee. You will have to wait until Boomtown is released to be able to sign up for it as a steward. Many thanks, Oxfam Festivals Team
Hey,
I was just wondering, will there be applications for shop volunteers this summer? I can only find priority access for stewarding roles at present.
Best wishes! 🙂
Hi El, due to the limited number of events this year, the shop team are initially opening their applications only to those who applied in 2020. If you need any more information you can email them at festivalshop@oxfam.org.uk. Many thanks, Oxfam Festivals Team
Hi, What time will the places on the 15th of April open? Thanks
Hi Charlotte, due to potential last minute changes and the risk of having to delay, we usually don’t announce the exact time until 1 hour before. Historically the opening has been mid-morning. Good luck, Oxfam Festivals Team
