  1. Mark Goldring

    Chief Executive

    Mark Goldring is Oxfam’s Chief Executive. He was Oxfam’s country director in Bangladesh in the early 1990s before holding senior positions in DFID and UNDP. He has also served as chief executive of the UK’s leading disability charity, Mencap, and Voluntary Service Overseas.

  2. Matthew Spencer

    Director of Campaigns, Policy and Influencing

    Matthew Spencer is Director of Campaigns, Policy and Influencing, a role that covers all of Oxfam’s key campaigns on inequality, rights in crisis, women’s rights and food and climate justice. Matthew has 30 years’ experience of UK and international environmental issues. Before joining Oxfam he was director of Green Alliance, head of government affairs at the Carbon Trust, and campaign director at Greenpeace UK. Matthew spent the early part of his career working on tropical forest conservation in Latin America. He also speaks fluent Spanish.

    Director of Gender Justice and Women's Rights

    Nikki van der Gaag is Director of Gender Justice and Women’s Rights at Oxfam. She brings over 30 years of experience and a proven track record in shaping the debate on women’s rights and gender justice in the UK and globally. She has worked with a wide range of organisations; from UN Women to the corporate sector, small local NGOs, donor organisations and the media. Nikki’s latest books are NoNonsense Feminism: Why the world still needs the F-word (New Internationalist 2017) and Feminism and Men (Zed Press 2014).

    Head of Humanitarian Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns

    Fionna Smyth is Head of Humanitarian Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns for Oxfam. She oversees Oxfam’s humanitarian campaigning to ensure the the rights of those affected by crisis. She has worked in development and human rights for 15 years for Oxfam, Amnesty and the UN.

    Humanitarian Lead

    Richard Corbett is Oxfam’s Humanitarian Lead. He maintains oversight of Oxfam’s response to emergencies around the world. Richard has led responses in Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Sudan and DRC before moving to a head office role at Oxfam. He has also been Chief Executive of Healthwatch Bucks and Reading Voluntary Action.

    Head of Oxfam Scotland

    Jamie Livingstone is Head of Oxfam Scotland. He is a former print and broadcast journalist and was most recently Political Correspondent for STV News. He joined Oxfam in 2011 as Campaigns and Communications Manager.
