Prospective Glaswegian brides have the chance to pick up a dream dress for a fraction of the usual price, following a generous donation of 50 brand new dresses from Bijoux Bridal in Hamilton to Oxfam’s Newton Mearns boutique.
The ex-showroom dresses, by designers including Phil Collins and Victoria Jane, are all priced at £300 and are available to view by appointment. Sizes range from 8-18.
The Oxfam Boutique shop team is treating brides to the full bridal shop experience, with appointments being held after hours to enable brides and their friends to have exclusive use of the store.
Janice Despard, Oxfam Newton Mearns Boutique Shop Manager, said: “It’s been a really difficult time for people planning weddings during the pandemic, but Bijoux bridal’s huge generosity has enabled us to offer a chink of light for people looking for a cut price designer gown.
“Of course, the best thing about buying your wedding dress from Oxfam is that the money raised can help stop the spread of Coronavirus in some of the poorest countries in the world through providing people with simple things like access to soap and clean water – just another reason to feel amazing in your dress on your big day!”
Appointments can be made by calling the store on 0141 616 2525.
