Rhian Anderson writes;
Nineteen families from Glyncoch enjoyed three days away on a Ziggies Action Camp at Pontins Brean Sands in Somerset. Ziggies invites three to 8-year-olds and their families to come together to create a fun club based on stories, creative activities and games. The families enjoyed treasure hunts, crafts and stories as well as cooking together in the evenings with a ‘Come Dine with Me’ twist.
The weather played its part and the sun shone for most of the time. On our last day Action Camp bought us tickets to Animal Farm where the families enjoyed the indoor play area during the showers and fed the animals in the sunny spells.
Altogether it provided me with a great opportunity to meet families in Glyncoch and recruit lots of new participants for Oxfam Cymru’s project.
