Sarah Rees
Head of Oxfam CymruJoining Oxfam in late 2021 Sarah brings passion and enthusiasm for equality and social justice to lead Oxfam Cymru. Sarah was previously working in the third sector as a feminist campaigner on issues including flexible working, childcare and women’s representation in public life. Sarah has recently gained a Graduate Diploma in Law and is studying part-time for an LPC.
In this role, Sarah oversees Oxfam’s policy, advocacy, campaigns and communications in Wales, and hopes to continue the legacy of the previous team on the Feminist Scorecard and the Welsh Donut. Sarah is Co-Chair of the Wales Overseas Agency Group, Welsh representative of the #ButNotMaternity campaign and volunteer advisor to the charity Women Seeking Sanctuary Advocacy Group.
Sarah works part-time and is a supporter of the ‘4-day week’ campaign.

Dr Hade Turkmen
Policy and Advocacy AdviserAfter attaining a PhD from Cardiff University School of Geography and Planning in 2015, Hade started working in the third sector in Wales as a researcher. Hade has published widely about gender equality in Wales, having carried out research into gender equality, feminist economic, and labour market relations. Hade joined Oxfam Cymru in May 2023 as a Policy and Advocacy Adviser. She oversees the policy and advocacy work of Oxfam Cymru.

Rebecca Lozza
Media and Communications AdviserRebecca is the first point of contact for all Welsh media enquiries. She works closely with colleagues in Oxfam Cymru and around the world to generate as much positive media coverage as possible in Wales for Oxfam’s work and campaigns.
Rebecca also works part time, Monday to Thursday.
