On Thursday 25th July at 6pm at the Temple of Peace, Cardiff we’ll have the chance to hear first hand about the inspiring efforts going on around Syria to support the 1.8 million refugees affected by the crisis. Dr Sameh Otri, Chair of Welsh Solidarity for Syria, will be speaking from his personal experiences of supporting people on the Turkish-Syrian border. With the Welsh Solidarity for Syria Dr Otri has taken art and educational materials, ambulances and medical supplies to camps to work with children, teachers and parents.
Camilla Jelbart Mosse , Oxfam’s Global Campaign manager for Syria, will also be speaking. Earlier this year Camilla spent time in Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan where Oxfam is providing people with water and sanitation facilities including showers, toilets and laundry blocks. Camilla will share an overview of Oxfam’s humanitarian response to Syria Crisis as well as her personal account of the stories she heard through meeting refugees.
Please join us and Love Syria.
